Puchata is an exceptionally lightweight yarn with a hollow-core construction, in which baby alpaca fibers are encased within a chain-spun core of Pima cotton. Thanks to this construction, the yarn is incredibly soft, fluffy, and offers plenty of volume despite its very light weight.

Fabric made from this yarn is cozy, lightweight, and has a subtle alpaca sheen—delicate but not overly fluffy. The texture is somewhat reminiscent of woolen-spun yarns: the stitches are soft and slightly blurred, and the finished fabric remains springy and warm.
